 UD REDEMPTION KUDOS |

 It took UD long enough but consumers are your bosses know matter what you think. UD is finally clearing backlog but more importantly moving forward with it's redemption card program and is getting stuff out.
I recently sent in a redemption and got it back in only a month or so. It was for Harold Baines so he had nothing to say, he is still alive.
A nice touch was as the redemption card went out, an Upper Deck email was also sent out saying it's coming. I got it in record time, it was the right card and the email was helpful.
Could UD have finally fixed the vast majority of hockey redemptions? We hope so and the other sports too. We give it some more time before passing judgement. |

 We have never liked it and we never will. Sure there are enough left over sets hobby stores didn't order to go around and you as Topps need an outlet to sell. You always make too many, but then again if you didn't make too many you would not be faced with this pickle...which is;
1. Topps is selling 2007 Factory sealed NFL trading card sets to the public for $44.95. This is the same week they arrived in hobby stores where most dealers sell them for $49.99.
2. For the manufacturer to sell to hobby stores, distributors and direct to the public defeats the purpose of having stores and distributors. They keep telling the stores they need them then they undercut them.
The sets cost about $30 direct. No consumer is gonig to balk at a $20 markup. It's just plain Greed and in this case Gordon Gekko; Greed is BAD. |

| TOPPS CHROME VICK CARDS GET OUT |

No I don't even want to smile about it. 
Michael Vick is a scumbag and we all know it. Topps said they would pull all the 2007 Topps Chrome and other Vick trading cards from the series. Guess what, some have gotten out and are selling for $500!
If the cards really did mistakenly get out, fine, but come out and apologize. If this was planned it's as rotten as old apples and stinks twice as high. The Alex Gordon cards few believe last year were mistakenly released. Truth or not, no one gets harmed, but this is Vick. Dog killer in dirty bird's clothing and this should not have happened.
Topps answer the phone! Tell us what happened. We await your response. |

| RECALLS WILL COST YOU AT CHRISTMAS |

Don't be shocked, but the holiday toys you will buy the kids this Christmas will likely cost you more. Two or more reasons but chief among them; the recall of toys from China.
Mattel, RC2 and other toymakers have been hit with recalls and that means over a million toys destined for sales here, won't be coming, or have already been returned. It's not that toys will be in short supply but the manufactures will make out like they are.
In addition, added protection from the Chinese toy makers will cost the American toy companies dearly and those costs will be passed on to you. Government hearings began this week and when government gets involved, as it should in this case, costs are added for some reason.
So be prepared to pay more for the holiday gifts this year especially if they are made in China. |
